General facts about Aardvark

It is covered by bony plates and does not easily attack by anyone. It can curl into the ball and protect against the predators. It is perfectly adapted for digging and creates tunnels underground.

Also, they sleep 16-18 hours a day and remain active for the rest of the day. It considers favorite foods like insects, and they love to eat small mammals such as baby birds, eggs, and other fruits. It is also an excellent swimmer and holds breathe for 6 minutes when they dive. Like anteaters, they have a long tongue which has a very good sense of smell and used to hunt ants.

From one egg, four identical armadillos will born and called as quadruplets. One of the major factors is that they can born without bony plates and take several weeks to appear on the skin. They also live 4 to 7 years in the wild and 12-15 years in captivity.
